Tongue thrust reflex

What does this actually look like, especially given that a baby will probably spit out food to start with anyway, as they won't know its food??

My DS can sit unaided and has good hand-mouth co-ordination, but I am not sure about the third 'sign'.

The whole weaning thing is making me really anxious as any time I meet anyone they ask if he is on solid food yet! (He is a huge baby - I think they assume I am secretly feeding him cream cakes or something.)

If you google it, there are lots of videos showing the tongue thrust reflex.

Ds, has developmental delays and at 15 months still has partial tongue thrust reflex, so he can eat, but tends to push a lot of food and most liquids out as well.
