I would like to give ds oat based cereals but don't want to express. What is a good substitute as my understanding is that cow's milk is a no no until 12 mths?

Cows milk is fine in food, just not as a drink before 12 months. So just buy it from the supermarket, no worries!

Cow's milk is ok on cereal and in cooking from 6 months, just not as a main drink :)

Cows or goats milk are good choices. Advice is now not to give under 2s rice milk.

Thank you all so much!

My DD is 6mo and still has a bad reaction to cows milk in food so I give her a touch of formula with her cereal. She is on BM or EBM for the rest of the day so I don't worry about her having too much. However, a friend of mine just uses sterilised water instead.
