ideas for lunches and snacks to send to nursery, please

9mo ds2 has started nursery, and we've to provide food til he's a year old.
I've been sending pureed chicken and veg etc, but I can't seem to come up with a variety of ideas of what to pack. At home he loves scrambled egg - would it be unreasonable to send a tub with a whisked egg/milk for them to microwave, do you think?

Please could you help with ideas for both lunches and snacks?

Scrambled eggs can be microwaved. I've done it for my own packed lunch. Of course it won't taste as nice as fresh.

Have you looked at either Annabel Karmel or the BLW cookbook? There are loads of child friendly recipes there. If the weather is warm, pack an ice pack too if you want to be safe.

What about finger foods: halved grapes, kiwi, melon, banana etc. Rice cakes, cheese, hard boiled egg, strips of omelette, strips of chicken, tiny sandwiches..

When DD was been weaned I got a bit stuck for inspiration and I borrowed this book from our Library and it was good. My friend used this book and has said that she's found weaning to be really easy.

Oh, and my DD favourite picnic lunch was pasta salad.

Reheated scrambled egg worked a treat. :)
We were already giving them rice cakes and raisins etc, but started giving chopped fruit. I'll go down this route some more.

Jilted, I've made the brocolli and cheese muffins from the link you gave me. They worked out ok, but with some tweaking will be perfect. DS loved them, which is the main thing. I'll be making the sweetcorn patties at the weekend. Thanks again - it's great how these recipes got me out of the rut. x

It's weird, cos before I had the 2 kids (oldest is 6 and a half), I was a cooking genius - always new ideas, varieties of meals and snacks. But since then it's as if my ideas have dried up. I really struggle for healthy snacks for ds1, who hates all fruit except apples. I just can't seem to think of anything to give him except flapjacks or fruit flakes (both of which are also very sugary). He eats cooked veg, so vitamins aren't a problem, but it's hard to think of what to give him between meals.
I just don't know where my cooking mojo went! I think I probably get too hung up on no-added salt or sugar - I'm taking it too literally, I think.
