just started weaning my DS who is 6 months.

1st week he had baby porridge late mornings. This week he has been having the same in the morning and some mashed up sweet potato/lentils with carrot in the evenings.

he seems to be doing fine with that amount and is enjoying it, he feeds himself most of the time.

am i giving him too much?

I found with my DD it was best to follow her lead so if your DS is happy with the amounts then you're doing fine.

Agree with mouse. if you are bfing the LLL advice is to bf an hour before offering solids.

Yes am Bfing, he is having the same amount of feeds as before and I have been giving him a BF an hour or so before his meals, although often he wants another small one afterwards as well :o .

He is very good at telling me when he's had enough iyswim. Was just a bit worried that he was having too much and that he'd be the size of a house by next month!
