BLWers...what do you give your DCs??

Hi! I have a 6mo DS and have been weaning for a few weeks on maily purees with occassional finger foods. I like the idea of BLW and am considering following this approach from now on. however, do you just give your DC what you eat? doesnt this assume that you eat a baby friendly diet?? E.g. today I ate special K for breakfast, a tuna light lunch for dinner, and am having steak and chips for tea! What out of that could I have given DS?

And, what do you do if you are at a cafe/restaurant to eat?

Sorry if I sound really think, but would love to pack away the blender!

Cereals are ok , just checkthe ingredients for salt/sugar content.
Tuna is ok. Dd3 had tuna & sweetcorn pasta for lunch.
Steak & chips fine just don't add salt.

When we eat out I pick something that shouldn't be too salty and make sure she has low/0 salt for the rest of the day/balance it over the week.
We ate out on Monday & dd3 had pizza/carbonara/veg off everyone's plates

Thanks! I thought you would tell me to stop being so unhealthy! Do you cut up pizza/pasta etc or just let her grab chunks?

I cut it into fingers. Dh usually makes our own but I do let dd3 have shop bought, just be careful about the salt content.
