Baby porridge ok?

weaning my EBF baby with cow milk protein allergy; have been given baby porridge to make with BM. Is this stuff recommended at 7 months? Just wondering, I'm a bit paranoid as DD seemed to get a bit of a rash after baby rice.

even ordinary porridge is ok from 6 months

You can use ordinary porridge/ready brek/weetabix etc

Check ingredients in baby porridge because the one I used had dried milk added.

Def check ingredients; some of them have formula milk added IIRC. It's also damned expensive, I could indulge my PFBness and get organic porridge from the health food shop for less.

It is damn handy though when you can just add water and hey presto - stop baby screaming - but yes, ordinary oats probably better.
