Teats

When we bottle fed our oldest children we used brown latex teats on standered bottles.
But most bottles now have clear teats, which we found too hard for a newborn to get the milk from.
Does anyone else have this problem and can you still get the brown teats?
Please help. Tina.

some brands use latex teats and you can get softer silicone ones too.

Might be worth posting this in the 'breast and bottle feeding' topic for more responses.
Sorry can't offer any advice myself as I have a bottle refusnik!

Nuk do latex teats, which are the only ones I have ever been able to get DD to feed with. They are the orthodontic shape, very soft.

DD is now 5 months, I started her on the stage 1 ones, but by the time she was about 9 weeks she already moved onto the bigger ones (which are meant to be 6 months plus!), which she still has now.

I do find I need to replace them often as they are in and out of the steriliser and go soft and 'sticky' after about 4-6 weeks.

Mail order off their website and they arrive usually within about 2-3 days.
