I really can't remember but I did find Lorraine Kelly's toddler eating book great and goes right up to 12 months for ideas too.

lol i didn't know if u wanted 6 months specifically!!!

I have to warn u i am not very adventurous loL!!

I started weaning with Annable Karmels book and i still freeze food in ice cube trays. I mash it now instead and obviously theres a lot more of it! I try to always have at least broccolli/cauliflower/parsnip and a few fruits.
and i keep in some jars of mums own pureed meats just in case i haven't got any!!

He does have jars as well but of things that i know i would never cook him like the pasta combos with a gazillion veggies in (we don't eat lots of pasta)

breakfast though he will have porridge with pureed apple/pear OR weetabix (breadstick to keep fingers out the way!)

Snacks tend to be breadsticks/toast/chunks of cheese/mini rusks/rice cakes/banana (if i am not wearing white ) he will even have a go at catching peas but i put them on the plate just to distract him from grabbing the spoon!!

He tends to eat what we eat tho....i make bigger portions and freeze them for him.

snack usually, a couple of times he's been really keen and i've given more toast. lack of teeth for biting is a bit of a hindrance i think, he is much happier chewing.

fisil · 23/11/2005 21:10

today ds2 (6 months) had:

breakfast: apple puree (quite lumpy now - used a potato masher not blender)
lunch: chicken and peas (blended) & a bread stick
tea: pear puree

Fairly similar most days - veg might be different.

vic891 · 23/11/2005 21:11

my 6mo has oat/rice cereal with a cube of fruit puree for breakfast, then for lunch and dinner has a mixture of any two of: carrot, parsnip, sweet potato, courgette, butternut squash, pear and apple. have been winging it so far, but have annabel karmel's book winging its way to me from amazon...

Find it strange that new guidelines are nothing till 6mo then everything... was much simpler with dd1!
