So sorry but ... what does baby poo look like after banana

In process of weaning DS v v slowly. Just changed first nappy after banana that was introduced yesterday, previously had four days of pear. All only one teaspoon a day. Nappy has little streaks of black, what looks like, fibre in it. And is also quite dark green.

Please help! Any advice/memories/thoughts will be gratefully received.

Yep, I remember those banana-ey nappies - sounds normal to me.

Yep, green with bits of black sounds normal to me too. Ah the memories....

What a relief! Thank you both - sooo much. It would have been so sad otherwise as he's utterly loved every nouthful.

Yes, sounds normal to me too.

ds is 21 months and I can still tell what he had to eat the previous day by the contents of his nappy. If IRCC this continues until they're about 2 or thereabouts, ie, when the digestive system has matured.

Peppers, tomatoes, sweetcorn and olives also make themselves known in poo. Be warned, when you start introducing meat, the smell factor kicks in - YUK

Raisins are pretty scarey!

Ah! I wondered what the black bits were! It all makes sense now!
A few days ago I found myself standing for quite sometime examining my dd's dirty nappy closely cos of black bits... had to stop and in a brief, weird moment of clarity, wonder how in the course of my rich and varied life I had ended up standing there staring with genuine interest at poo...

Ds3's poo smells like banana the next day too!
