Toast toppings

Hi, any simple ideas for what to put on toast for 6 month DD? TIA x

Dd3 is 8 months & has banana, peanut butter, spready cheese, cheese & tomato.

Thanks Harriet, she loves banana so that would be good. Are there any spready cheeses to avoid (for salt reasons?)

I have found the cheaper ones have less salt ( shops own V phillie) but I just read the info on whatever's in store& get the lowest( small selection in our town)

I was advised to look at salt consumption over a day or week so if she has cheese at one meal she has no salt at another to balance it

hummus
avocado mixed with cottage cheese
blitz up some baked beans or butter beans/kidney beans mixed with cream cheese - also mushrooms chopped up v small and mixed with cream cheese have been a hit

have tried these with 6.5mo DD on toast, bagels and rice cakes although she's discarding the bread as soon as she's sucked the topping off!

Thanks MrsGubbins, I quite like the sound of the mushrooms, we may both try that in the morning!

Hazelnut, almond or peanut butter - Meridian brand do a few different nut spreads with no sugar or salt added, some have palm or sunflower oil added, but the three spreads I mentioned are just ground nuts, with nothing at all added.

Sunwheel brand also do a no added sugar fruit spread - it's made with concentrated fruit juices.

Actually our LO also likes unsalted butter or extra virgin olive oil on her toast - I don't bother spreading anything else other than oil or butter on it, if it's to accompany something such as scrambled egg.
