Drinks for 8mo other than water

Now that my 8mo will take water from a sippy cup would it be okay to sometimes alternative this with highly-diluted freshly squeezed fruit/veg juice, or do you think this should be left until he's a bit older?

Do you do this for your DCs and, if so, any favourite flavours?

No just give water.

DS refused to drink water, he pulled a horrid face, so I got some of that Heinz baby apple juice and added a tiny tiny smidgen to quite a lot of water and he drank it. I feel a bit guilty about it (I caved to a lot of pressure from my mum, I really need to practice saying "no, sod off", but that's another thread), but I think if it's very very watered down it's probably ok. And he doesn't have it daily.

I think with fruit juice you have to avoid anything too acidic, but I might be wrong there.

If they drink water then just give them water - they don't know any different and you are avoiding any potential tooth rotting qualities.

Plenty of time to introduce them to juice later.

at that age I just stuck with water

I've given diluted orange juice to treat constipation, but don't see the need for anything other than milk or water generally.

i stuck with milk or water for as long as possible. once i started on the juice he started refusing water and getting really fussy and demanding for it.
