Can anyone recommend anything that works for constipated baby? I've tried moving her legs in cycling motion but it doesnt seen to work...
My dd is on 3 meals a day, mainly veg and fruit with some wheat and rice. She hasnt pooed for 4 days now....

Prunes used to always do it for my DS when he suffered from constipation. I used to steam some and blend in probiotic yoghurt. That and jumping in his baby bouncer (if appropriate for your lo's age!).

Good luck. xxx

DD was constipated at the weekend - lots of water to drink helped and warm baths. Massaging her tummy used to help as well but she doesn't keep still long enough anymore. I think there's videos if you google baby massage and constipation.

I've heard that figs are good. With DS i give him pear and melon and plenty of water. I also avoid some of the foods i think are to blame and give him alternatives. Carrots, certain types of squash and banana can be big culprits apparently (all the things the books tell you to start off with!)

Thanks everyone, my dd finally pooed last night and I was so relieved! I thought I had to go and get some kind of laxative or prune juice for her if she didnt go yesterday...

Maybe I should vary her diet a bit more...you'd think giving her carrots and bananas are good for them....
