Help needed with portion sizes!

Morning!

My 7 month old is eating really well, she has 3 meals a day and 3 bottles of 8oz, but doesn't always finish one of them, still it's a little more than the 'recommended' milk intake. The past couple of days she has woken at 5am hungry (though she is also teething so some of it may be down to that?!) Anyway we clearly need to up her portions again. At the moment I give her either 1/2 a weetabix with 1/2 a banana or the equivalent sized portion of other cereal for breakfast, 5 ice cubes of food at lunch, 5 of a meal at dinner and then 2 of fruit for pudding. All with her doidy cup of water and most meals she has some kind of finger food too, brocolli florets, rice cake etc. She eats everything in her bowl, and has a good go at the finger food. Should I up her portions so that I basically keep feeding her until she is full? She is quite clear when she's had enough, turns her head and clamps her mouth shut!!

What do you think?

Thanks

I dont see why not - I weaned my now 8 month old at just over four months and have always let him have what he wants until he shows me he is full. He has an excellent appetite and I sometimes worry I feed him too much to be honest - even though he is completely in proportion and not a fatty or anything! Grin

Like you say - she will tell you if she has had enough!
