6 month old not interested in weaning - help!

I just started trying to wean my 6 month old this week and so far it's been a disaster. My eldest took to food immediately and I did BLW with him. I don't think my 6 month old has the coordination for BLW just yet so I've tried a bit of puree and a bit of baby rice with her, as well as putting some steamed veg down in front of her. She isn't even looking at the veg and just gags and rejects any puree or baby rice that I try to feed her. She's just spent 45 mins screaming after our attempt with solids today and I feel completely stressed out!

My instincts tell me she just isn't ready yet, but as she's 6 months I don't think I have the option of stopping for now. Should I persevere and keep trying every day or shall I leave it for a week or so and try again after a break?

Any advice is much appreciated!

I feel for you I hated this phase. I tried with DS for 2 weeks and it just was not happening until one day, OVERNIGHT, bang! he got it.
Persevere, offer the food but don't stress out about it. When she starts to get pissed off then let go until next time. They are fine on milk for ages anyway. I did not BLW by the way, I don't know whether it makes a difference.
