Sorry, can't help with your gadgets but I just got a Braun hand held blender thing from a supermarket for around £10 and its really good - can puree straight in the pan and I use it for soups etc too.

Hi, I got a BEABA babycook and I am very happy with it. I also have a handheld blender but I think the babycook is much better. You have the steamer and blender all in one. The only thing you have to consider is that you can only make small amount at a time, it is about 2-3 icecubes trays. So if you want to make a bigger portions you have to do it a few times. But I would buy it, I used fro my DD (22mth) anad are now using it for my DS (6 mht).

Thanks Sai, thanks Denmark... I've splashed out on the Beaba Babycook! I looked on ebay but didn't seem cheap for electrical stuff ? rather have new with warranty. Got for £49 from JoJoMaman (inc Mumsnet discount) and free p/p. I just need to convince my 23 week old that food is worth trying... she seems to think milk is better! At this age her brother was loving his food ? but he'd been on a bottle since x1 month I wonder if that is a kind of half-way their... not such a change.

I just got a great baby food mouli from www.babyfoodmills.com. It is manual and comes with a carrying case. I asked them if they were going to be carring any electric ones and they said they were just about to add the BEABA to their site. They also have good prices on the babycubes for storage.
