Running out of meal ideas for my 1 year old

Hi,

My DS will be 1 in 2 weeks and I am running out of food ideas to give him!

He has never done BLW - I tried but he has only just recently started trying to hold food himself and taking an intrest in what we are eating (he still wont drink out of a tippy cup and wont even attempt to hold his bottle - lazy boy!)

I have been giving him all the usual spoon fed foods but even his favourites his is getting bored of now. ie pasta and sauce, macaroni cheese, chicken dinner etc etc!

He is due to start nursery in 2 weeks as I go back to work and I just want to try and get him used to eating more "grown up" things!

If anyone would be so kind as to write me your meal plans for your 1 years olds it would help me so much!

Thank You

As 1 Ds ate pretty much what I was. Shepherd pie and spag Bol being favourites! Chicken casserole, hot pot etc all go down well.

He loves fish fingers and mash to and the fish fingers are great for him learning to feed himself!

Thanks for replying Sirzy!

Do you give him the fish fingers whole or into pieces?

Does your DS now feed himself?

At that age I gave him them in half and he held them and fed himself.
Now he is 17 months and just starting to use a fork I cut them into smaller pieces.

Thanks for your response Sirzy I will try that!

If anyone else has any ideas too I would be interested to hear them.
