blw and sleep

I've posted on sleep and thought I'd post here too.
My ds is 6mnths is bf and recently started blw after a couple of weeks of banana/rice. His sleep has also just gone haywire, the same time as blw, with him staying awake for a few hours once he's woken at night - he's always woken alot but has gone to sleep after a feed.

Could this be constipation, he seems to take things down with not much sucking/chewing. Should I stop feeding him him for a few days. Give him specific food? I'm not giving him water just milk, should I give him water too?
This staying awake is killing us.

I would offer water with meals and be cautious how much banana you give as that seems to have constipation effects. It could all be developmental though.

My nearly 6mo has been waking more too in the night, i think its don to digestion/constipation too. she doesnt really wake, or cry. just awake and fidgety. she'll still have one proper night feed, then i offer it again when she wakes but doesnt want it, just fidgets and wide awake for upto an hour sometimes.

I am mixing purees and finger foods, she isnt doing poo's as often as she used to, i think shes just adjusting? only on week 2 of foods. i give water too, but she is still having milk about 3 hourly in the day now.
