8 month has dropped another feed - should I worry?

My DS is 8 months old, 22lbs and a great eater. EBF until 5.5 months and now eating three solid meals a day.

He's having a BF first thing and last thing, plus a ff in the night. He was having (I was offering) a BF mid afternoon, but yesterday I didn't offer and he didn't ask. He just had a yogurt around 3.45pm.

I'm worried, though, that he's not getting enough boob - though he has lots and lots of milk-based stuff in the day.

Should I just follow his lead, or should I offer a bf when he wakes from his afternoon nap (or a bottle)?

This has left me feeling a bit confused!

Any advice appreciated. xx

I'd think the risk with dropping too much day time milk is he's going to keep needing milk in the night - I would lean towards offering milk mid afternoon (up to you if breast or bottle) and dropping the night time one. My ds is 8 months too and has bf morning, mid-morning, mid-afternoon and bedtime and a ff at night that I'm trying to cut out.

Thanks, Rita (again!). I really feel that's best too. He's only dropped the morning feed because he is literally so full from the getting up bf and then breakfast, He's a big eater!

I'm going to keep the 2.30pm one in as a bf, and switch to a bottle in a week or so, leaving waking up/bedtime bf and one ff in the night. He's waking up later and later for the ff (3am last night), so am hoping he's just going to nudge all the way through until 6am soon!
