BLW and throwing up

Hi all. DD is 7 months, been BLW for a few weeks. I offer her food when we eat, it tends to be when she is not hungry having had a milk feed maybe an hour or 2 prior.

DD is getting better at getting things in her mouth and breaking bits off, moving them round her mouth. One thing which is messy and a bit frustrating is her tendency to vomit all her milk when her gag reflex kicks in.

Do others find this? Does it pass quickly (it feels like its been forever already!) as I feel like I am always bf feeding her since she throws up after every solids based meal and is then obviously hungry again.

DS has thrown up his milk feed twice when having a really good choke - once on a cornflake (lovingly softened on milk, too!) and once on half a raisin (also pre-soaked). I'm avoiding small food for a bit.

It smelled awful but didn't seem to bother him, and it's only been on stupendous chokes/gags, rather than the first early ones, which have passed now.
