Hi,

My little darling has just started sleeping through the nights - 12 hours - but coinciding with that she has become really unsettled in the day. I can't tell is she's hungry or tired, I tried feeding her every time she started to grizzle - she would always take the milk but was being sick a lot as well, so I went back to doing every 3 hours. But she's still grizzling so I think it is that she needs more food - she's currently on 180mls, should I up her to 210mls or change to hungry milk? And how often should she need feeding at this age? Our routine's gone down the pan!

Thanks

Sorry don't know about formula amounts but try posting on Breast and Bottle Feeding section and you will get more replies.

I would always chose more stage 1 over hungry baby milk. hungry baby milk is just harder to digest. Try more stage 1 in her bottle.

At this age could be teething although probably won't get any through for a few months. Could also just be wanting more attention as she's becoming more aware of her surroundings. Please don't think about weaning yet, she's 3 weeks less than the bare minimum and 12 weeks (ie almost her lifetime over again) from the ideal. If she is hungry she needs more milk.

I'd second that - offer more/bigger bottles of stage one milk, not a different type.

Other things could be going on here - it could be teething (sometimes not obvious), or feeling slightly under the weather, or a bit tired, or just realised that there's things she wants to play with and can't, or just started forming real attachments to people...

Sorry I can't be more specific, but this is a stage she will get past.
