from bottle to cup?

Advice please!

My DS turned 1 year old around 3 weeks ago and is doing great.

However, I am wondering if it's unreasonable for me to be getting worried that he's still drinking both his milk and his water from a bottle, rather than a cup?

He was mix-fed breast and formula until the age of 11 months (not sure if that has any bearing on this).

We offer him cups, but he refuses or just throws them on the floor.

Is this normal for a one year old, or is my DS the only one??

I'd say that's pretty normal.
When I weaned my ds's off of bottles, I got a spouted beaker from boots that was just one step up from the bottle. The teat was still silicone but was square.
I used this just for water to start with and gradually upped it's use and moved onto milk feeds.

Silvery - thanks for your reply. I think I know the beaker you're talking about, I bought one for DS a few weeks ago... so far there has been little success with it :( but I will keep trying.
