Milk feeds

Hi, my DD is 10 months old. I'm still EBF 3 x day, but now the feeds have litterally dropped to 5 minutes each side at every feed. I'm worried that thats not enough milk for her age. The HV keep saying dont time as she'll take what she needs, but I cant believe she takes the reccomended amount of milk she should be drinking in such short feeds.
Not sure what to do?

They can get really efficient by that age. Also I understand that the milk gets more calorific, I guess because they get more distractible so they need to get their requirements quicker. 5 minutes a side sounds fine to me. Smile

Sounds fine to me, too - my DS is 7 months, on 3 - 4 BF a day with a couple at night AND 3 solid meals - and he's super speedy at feeding!

The calorie thing rings a bell with me, too.

Boy is 6 months and hasn't taken more than 10 minutes to feed since he was newborn. They take what they need and some are faster more piggy than others.
