Good food for taking out

I need to take my 8 month old baby boy out and can't be home for lunch tomorrow. I normally just take a jar of shop bought food with me. However, I'd prefer to take something home-made with me, but I'm concerned about not being able to re-heat food I've made before feeding it to my DS. What's the best food to make to take out that won't cause problems if it's not re-heated before being eaten?

Is he still basically on purees/mush/soft finger foods? Take vegetables (either cold steamed veges or puree), bread, and a banana. Fromage frais or yoghurt should also be OK by lunchtime if you keep it in a cool bag with an ice pack. But leave any other dairy products, eggs, or meat at home.

Yes, he's still on purees. We haven't got very far with the finger foods. Thanks for your advice. :)
