Cow's milk and Weetabix for 7 month old?

Help - I have been giving 7 month old DS full fat cow's milk and half a Weetabix for breakfast for about 1.5 weeks now. I'm sure I read that it was OK but have now looked on the Internet and its says no cow's milk (unless in cooking) until 12 months. Should I be using formula for his cereal?????

He has got an ear infection in the past week and now I am paranoid it is from a reaction from cow's milk. He is fine otherwise...argh!

Please advise!!

It is indeed...and still the advice doesn't change. The WHO advice dates from 2005.....the leaflet my health visitor gave me was dated 2007 so they were fully aware of WHO advice yet still don't change their national guidelines. Personally I think it is due to the powerful lobby of mineral water companies such as Evian/Spa etc.

I am fed up of being condescended to by doctors/health visitors/creche owners for daring to suggest that the Belgian guidelines don't match the latest scientific advice!

I'm sure it will be fine.
