Hi,
My 6month lo has always had a bit of a problem with constipaation. He's started solids and up to now been fine-he loves food but I'm finding that he's getting constpated. are there any foods to help sort this problem out? some people say bananas but othersn say no to bananas??!!

My DD had the same - she loved satsumas and grapes which seemed to help. Also try giving a little water to drink.

Stewing dried fruit (raisins/prunes/apricots) with an apple helped ds2, as did satsumas, and a v small amount of freshly squeezed orange juice in his beaker of water.

Chop up the apple, bung in a bowl with dried fruit (handful or two), cover with water, pop the lid on then microwave for 2 or 3 minutes until softened. If the fruit hasn't soaked up all the water but it has gone soft, you cab strain the liquid and add to their water beaker too.

Prunes (get the nice soft squishy ones). Dried apricots. Pear is really good.

I used to do stewed apple with prune and whizz it all up to a puree.

And don't forget water too.
