Starting weaning

I started weaning my 6 month old a few weeks ago. She doesn't however seem very interested at all... i.e. Hardly opens her mouth to receive food. Is this normal? When will she enjoy it/ be more eager? Any tips?

Do you eat with her/share food with her? Do you let her feed herself? My ds is also 6 months and is much more enthusiastic if we all sit at the table together and he gets to eat bits of mine and DP's plates Grin
