My DS is doing a mixture of BLW and spoon feeding. The spoon fed food is usually mashed up home cooked food. He has had jars when we are out and about but after eating them he still wants more!

We are going away for the weekend at the beginning of march, so need to get him some jar food. Is there any reason I couldnt give him the 7mo jars, with the lumps in, as he has lumps in his food anyway? Plus the jars are bigger so it would hopefully stop him wanting more...?

PS I want to spoon feed him at least two of his meals while we're away as we will be at a wedding so I'd like him, me and DH to stay as clean as possible Grin

The 7 month jars are barely lumpy, so I should think it will be fine. Have you used those puree pouches at all? My 6 month old isn't keen on jars (bit tasteless I think) but loves the novelty of sucking purees out of the pouches Grin He can also do it with no mess.

Ta MUA
He doesnt like a lot of the jars, they do taste of nothing after proper home cooked food Wink He loves the pudding ones though, dont know where he got a sweet tooth from [whistles...]

I wasnt sure if the any of the ingredients would be a problem, but guess that the guidelines suggest he doesnt have dairy etc til 6 months and he'll only be two weeks off that. Not sure why the jars are "for" 7m+ rather than 6m+ though? Confused

He has piriton, thanks to an allergic reaction to (possibly) some additives, so I'll make sure I keep it with me!!!
