Remind me - you would never think I did all this 3 short years ago with DS!

Tried toast, sat panicking over her choking, she loved it though. What else can I give her that won't make me sit on the edge of my seat ready with the first aid moves?

steamed or lightly boiled broccoli, cauliflower or carrot batons. Pasta (the twisty ones are not too bad for them to grip) with or without sauce. Sweet potato or squash wedges. Baked apple or pear wedges.

Most things which are grip friendly and healthy. Never leave then unattended of course, and don't be surprised by the gag reflex kicking in now and then.

Rice cakes, grated apple, grated cheese (or little batons of cheese), chunks of melon.

They just seem to mouth it, suck it, gum it, but some does go down and they have great fun with it.
