Help! Stokke tripp trap - how to attach front bar?

Just bought a second hand stokke tripp trapp on eBay and got it home, only to find I can't attach the front bar (part of the old style baby set) to it. Can anyone that has this style please tell me how to get it on? Do I have to bend it into the holes? I might be able to do it with a LOT of force, but don;t want to risk breaking the bloody thing if there's a simpler way. Sure I'm being daft...

I think you need to take an allen key to the chair so that you can loosen it off and then fit the bar before you tighten it back up.

yes loosen the bolts on one side from the top to half way down, pop it in and then tighten up again.
