Hi,
I am weaning dd and she has a cow's milk protein allergy. She is doing really well and I want to introduce some salmon to her diet. All the recipes I have found have cheese sauce wuith them. She also doesn't really like mashed potato I am gradually trying to get her to take this but doubt she will take salmon mixed with this.

She is nearly 7 months old and is doing quite well will lumpyish pureed food.

Does anyone have any recipes?

Thanks

Salmon is delicious simply grilled.
For something more complicated you can wrap it in foil with a slice of onion, a sprig of dill and a squeeze of lemon. Bake in the oven at 180 for about 20 mins. Yummy!

We like salmon cooked then flaked and mixed with the teeniest bit of chilli and some coconut milk and cooked pasta.

You are going to think I'm such a slummy mummy, but I just put it in the microwave in a covered dish with a bit of water for a few minutes. It ends up steamed and tastes all salmony and delicious.

DD loves it too.

Oh, and I meant to say, if she is having finger food then salmon is great because you can give it to her in a lump and it will flake as she eats it.

mix it with mash, that's how my lo liked it :-)
also try it in a tomato based sauce

With carrots and a bit of orange juice for moisture and sweetness.

Mashed with some baked, sweet potato.

With some pesto (homemade therefore no cheese or with pecorino which is ewe's milk not cows) and pasta shapes.

wrap salmon in foil with a bit of orange juice and a drizzle of olive oil in there. then bake.

steam carrots and sweet potato and mush with a bit of unsalted butter.

then flake the fish and combine with the carrot/sweet potato.

my baby loves this one!

I make a white sauce with goat milk when I want to do creamy fish for my dairy intolerant 2yo.

just salmon. microwaved.

although agree that sweet potato mash much easier for babies to tolerate than white potato. less gagging involved all around. Grin
