Hi
We're in w3 of weaning, DD is 6 months. Started with single veg & fruit purees and moved on to mixtures of the above so far.... Is it OK to now introduce edam and mild cheddar cheese, yoghurt etc? Also when can I start to give pasta, fish and chicken? Do I have to wait until 7 months? Sorry - keep reading contradictory advice so need the help of some real experts!
Thanks!

From 6 months they can have everything except salt, honey and whole nuts.

I grated some cheese for DD yesterday and she had a great time picking up handfuls of it and stuffing it into her mouth!

A nice soft crumbly cheddar handed over cut into a large chip size is IMO the best way to start on cheese. It crumbles/dissolves in their mouth. But Edam doesn't do that, you have to bite and chew to get anything.
It doesn't need to be mild cheddar, it can be a bit stronger. My (21month) DS loves boursin Confused, maybe not one to start on Grin
