Hi,
I think this is the right forum to post this. It is breastfeeding related, but I think relates to weaning more than feeding.
My DS is just over 8 months and we have been doing BLW for over two months now. When just breastfeeding, he always was a bit of a pukey baby. Not enough for me to think it was reflux and it was sometimes an hour or so after a feed and he would suddenly through up a mouthful or two.
He did this till we started solids and I thought nothing of it (other than an bit of an inconvenience) until other mothers advised this didn't happen with their children past newborn posseting stage.
Since we have been giving solids he has not been sick like that.
The last three mornings, after a quickish morning breastfeed he sits up leans forward and about two mouthfuls of milk comes shooting out. I am not eating anything different and DS continues to have a varied diet, but all the sorts of things we have been giving him for the last 2 months.
The only thing that has changed recently is that he is now having a last feed at 7.30pm and then sleeping through till 6am.
After the first quick feed, he has a much longer feed from my other breast, so it is not like he has fed too much and the excess is just ejected out.
I tried this morning keeping him reclined and then sitting straight up for a few mins after the feed, but the moment he lent forward the milk came shooting out.
Any ideas??
