Is DD ready for solids?

DD (20 weeks) is EBF and I was planning on starting weaning in 3-4 weeks. Today I was eating an apple and she grabbed it and pulled it to her mouth. She then sucked on it with great gusto and went back for more every time I took a bite. Is this her telling me she is ready for solids or should I just continue with my first plan?

She's telling you that she's interested in solids, but that's not the same thing as needing solids.

How were you planning to wean? Purees or BLW? If BLW, can she sit up well enough in her high chair yet?

If it was me then I would wait a few more weeks, babies this age will grab anything so I wouldn't take it as a sign.
