When to start giving eggs?

DS is now almost 10 months, when can I start giving eggs? Also dd (nearly 4) loves eggs but I am worried how many eggs a week it is safe/advisable forher to have (or is cholesterol etc not an issue at this age?)

I have been giving dd hard boiled eggs since she was 10 months old and she loves them - either mashed up with other veg or as finger food in quarters. I think as long as it is hard it is fine.
No idea about how many a week etc is good, but my dad has just had a heart attack and on his diet sheet it says no more than 3 a week.

For some reason it's safer to give egg yolk than egg white. Avoid egg white for at least one year. I don't think kids under 5 need to worry about fat or cholesterol... I'd say 3-4 a week is fine! Eggs are so good that nutritionists say if your child likes them you're home free, they hardly need to eat anything else!
