hello im just wondering if anyone can give me any tips on how to get my little boy to have a bottle before bed. he has his dinner about 4 - 4.30 and I was bathing him at 6 and in bed at 6.30 as thats the time he wants to go to bed but im thinking of keeping him awake till 6.30 then bath and bed it might be a little difficult. im currently having to give him a dream feed at 9 what i want to try and stop.

I give dd a bottle at about 6:20, after her bath, she also has dinner about 4pm and is 7 months old. When does he have his last bottle of the day (before the dream feed)? Is he fully weaned now? Does he wake for his 9pm feed or do you go in and do it quietly?

he is fully weaned he doesnt like his milk so he only has a bottle in the morning and dream feed which we do quietly when he asleep. he prefers to go to bed with warm juice and wondering if i should just leave it at that and see how he goes ?

My dd also hates her milk! We cut out her daytime milk once she was weaned and she now has one bottle after breakfast and one before bed, her bedtime one of 8 ounces is gone within ten minutes (this the baby who used to take an hour to drink 70mls). I would try a bottle after bath just so you know he definitely won't take it and if he doesn't want it then he doesn't want it. If he does drink it then that's great, and if he were to wake up during the night (around 9 or 10) you could offer some water/juice then? That is just my thoughts though, I gave up worrying about dd milk intake ages ago, it just stresses me out otherwise HTH

same as i was really worrying about his milk in take but i see it as he happy and healthy so thats whats matters. i always offer milk after his bath but he is refusing and so i give him water what he loves!!! so are you saying to stop this 9 feed and see how he goes ? thankyou for your advice very helpfull

Well I stopped doing dd dreamfeed and for a few nights she woke around 12 and she has slept through since, so give it a go, he will soon tell you if he is hungry :)
