Can 6 month old have tinned tuna?

Just checking really as know you can only have so much during pregnancy due to mercury - thinking it would be a lazy convenient way of doing fish dishes!

I think they can as long as its not canned in brine. Just water or oil.

yes. I used the tuna in spring water as it had less salt.

I use tuna in spring water too when making tuna risotto and fishcakes. Dd loves tuna.

Also can only have oily fish twice a week if a girl and four times a week if it's a boy. Tuna counts as oily fish.

tinned tuna doesnt count as oily fish though due to the canning process so there isnt a limit for canned tuna but there is for fresh tuna
