i have an 8 months old ds, who is eating lovely, he has a bottle first thing in the morning, vegetables for lunch, fruit for tea and then more bottles. problem is how do i introduce breakfast?, he only has one bottle before lunch, is it ok to cut it and go striaght to breakfast? if i do that, he might not get the minimum 3 bottles a day.... help please. i'll consider every opinion, but fear not, i'll do what i think best, so all opinions wellcome.

I gave milk first thing and then breakfast about an hour later.

Same here. Also maybe you could try porridge mixed with milk to help you meet the daily milk 'quota'?

My DD tends to have breakfast first, then a bottle before her first nap at 9am (won't have milk before then).

My lo has a bottle around 7-8am and breakfast around 9am which works well x

My 7 month old DDs day goes (roughly - we aren't clock watchers) like this if its any use to you:

7.30am Milk feed

8.30am Breakfast - Porridge with fruit stirred in

11am Milk feed

12.30pm Lunch - Veggies and meat mush of some description

3.30pm Milk feed

5.30pm Dinner - Sweet potato mash and veggies or similar

7pm Milk feed

7.15pm Bed

My nearly 7mo:

8.00 porridge (with cows milk)

8.:30 milk, will normally only have 3/4oz

11:45/12:00 lunch with pudding

2:00 used to be a milk feed but hv told me I could cut it out as she was refusing it

4:00 dinner with pudding

6:15 milk

6:30 bed

She has never liked her milk though, hv said if she wasn't eating much breakfast (which she wasn't) to give her her food before her morning bottle, she also drinks water. We went from a taste of purée to three meals a day with pudding in three weeks.
