Stupid question

I'm just starting to wean my little boy who is almost 6 months old, but am getting a bit confused. When do you stop/cut down the milk feeds? At the moment we're just sitting at around lunchtime each day and trying puree - however he's normally due a feed at 1pm and am unsure if this should be continued or cut back?

Really not sure what I'm doing, as you can prob tell!

Thanks Confused

Personally it worked (or rather is working as lo is 8 months now so we're still weaning really) to let her dictate the dropped milk herself.

Gradually my dd is taking less during the day, so much so that for the last week or two we've dropped her mid morning bottle completely as she just isn't interested in it, and her mid afternoon one is still offered to her but she often only drinks 2-3 oz (although some days necks it all! lol). She still drinks her first thing bottle and bedtime bottle.

I was advised that they should be having around 20oz a day when weaning (3 meals) - and some days she falls short of this but I supplement her milk/dairy intake with things like milk in her weetabix, yogurts etc.

p.s. not a stupid question, I remember asking the same question elsewhere (either that or we're both stupid hee hee!)

Thank you! I was planning to keep going with bottles til he seemed to want to stop, but was worried cos he basically will eat whatever is in front of him.

A bit like me with that! Grin
