i am thinking of starting weaning my baby starting with baby rice but sure the best time of day to start.

I was thinking about her 4:30 feed but she has her bedtime feed at 7:30 - would this be a problem to still give her this feed at 7:30 or is it best to give baby rice just before bed.

I would give it with the 11am ish feed as that way if baby reacts it won't upset the night time and at 4.30 it might put them off their bed time milk which in turn might also upset night time. - I am very careful about nights!!

I started at lunchtime - mine tends to have a big milk feed at 12 so I started giving food at about 12.30. Basically just pick a time when they're not hungry and not tired.

I think a lot really depends on your baby's sleep patterns and when you eat your meals really. My DS always had a huge morning feed so wasn't interested in breakfast until nearer 10-12 months, had his main nap right through all the times I ate lunch...so that left supper when he was awake and receptive enough for solids so that was what we started with Smile
