8 months and weaning not going well

DD3 is 8 months in a weeks time and things have not been going well at all.

I weaned her at 5 months and did a mixture of BLW and purees and progress has been slow due to illness and teething.

She was born a big 9 lb 12.5 but has been slow to gain weight she is 16.4 lbs now, She is not a huge milk drinker either, about 4 or 5 oz is the norm per bottle.

She is recovering from bronchiolitis, always seems to have cough or cold and now when she eats food, she coughs and vomits it straight back up again, the only thing she seems ok with is small amounts of toast.

Any advice? but please don't bash me because she is bottle fed, My others were a dream to wean

Don't know if this helps but our DD who is fab eater always gets coughs nd cold this time of year, loses weight and interest in food etc etc..

Do you have a infant feeding coordinator around or anyone?

Eating little and often, maybe having nutritious snacks to hand during the day.

What is yours and Daddy's build like?

no infant feeding co ordinator un fortunately, we did have someone similar but she has been relocated to another more needy part of town so I can't see her (hv useless)

Mine and dp build is average I'd say but we are both quite tall, we are not slim though.

She managed a slice of banana earlier but wasn't keen

having all that snot running down her throat constantly is probably triggering her gag reflex which causes her to bring her food back up.

I have a bottle of otrivin child nasal drops which says it is suitable for 6m+ and it is brilliant for drying up DD's nose. maybe you could get some from the chemist and use it before her meals. I swear by the stuff.
