Eating what I eat?

I'm trying to give DD (eight months) things that I cook minus the salt and letting her have a go.

But quite often what I'm eating involves things like pesto, and hummus (not home-made!), oh and marmite on toast - are these too salty for a baby?

It depends how much she eats! Under 1 they can have 1g of salt a day, so check the packets and get your calculator out Smile

Just kidding, but I have found looking at the packet of everything I eat, even if DD isn't having any, helps me get an idea of what's salty and what isn't.

And don't forget the salt in everything else they're eating that day as well, i.e. bread, weetabix etc etc
