Any food resembling paper?

I know this is a strange question, but here is the situation: my 7mo DS is crazy about chewing paper (he takes bits of it and would happily swallow if I didn't stop him). He makes no distinction between cardboard and tissues.

So I caught myself wondering: I'm sure there are some foods (possibly some type of bread) which taste/feel a bit like paper, that I could give to him?

My paper-eating baby will be very thankful for your suggestions!

Nori is thin and papery.

Aaah - excellent idea. Our little girl loves Aldi catalogues! They're small, bright & colourful & shred well. We'd be happy if the ink was non-toxic but obviously can't be sure. We were thinking of giving her eating paper - the stuff we had as kids - but were worried what kind of chemicals could be in it.

Where can you get rice paper? Is nori the seaweed used in sushi? Any issues with (sea)salt in it?
