Which beaker/cup for water

Dd is 6 months have been weaning for 6 weeks due to her hatred for drinking her milk! I know I need to get some water in her but she won't take it from a bottle (I think she thinks it is milk!) I have tried the tommee tippee first beaker but she screams when it goes in her mouth, can anyone suggest a good one? HV suggested a doidy cup but she is all hands at the moment pushing and pulling things so I don't think there would be any water left in it by the time it got to her mouth!

DS (7mo) has been liking the Tommy Tippee First Cup - almost identical but with handles so that he can pour it over himself have a go himself. He kept dribbling most of it out to start, till I dug out some of DS1's old ones with just one hole in the spout - is now progressing to two holes. And the water temp (not cold from the tap) seemed to make a difference.

Also been having a go with the doidy cup, which isn't too bad as long as I keep a good hold on it and put only a little water in it.

try holding out an adult plastic glass. Realised DD loved drinking out of ours, so we took the lid of the cup off. If you guide to her mouth to start and hold it just so you catch it, that worked for us. Now we let her have it and she drinks a good few ounces before chucking it over herself. Most days we spot her just beforehand and rescue the cup first.

I have no idea what a doidy cup is

doidy cup They are brilliant as the cup only needs to be slightly tilted.

how the hell are they cheaper in the UK than the US.

DD has got to grips with a normal cup quite well now
