Purees & rice after 6 months - cow's milk ok to mix?

I read on another thread that it's ok to use cow's milk in cereals from 6 months on, just not as a main drink. Is this the case?

Just wondering as DD is EBF so will either have to buy formula for mixing or express, which is a bit of a pain as I find it difficult by hand and hate washing the pump!

Thanks :)

PS I love Mumsnet as a resource

Yes that is right, you can use cows milk in food no problem after 6 months. I never bothered expressing fo food either [lazy]

Does it need to be heated/boiled or anything [cautious mum emoticon]?

Thanks Bear

Of course, of course.....although remember whole milk is better for babies as opposed to us :-).
