Hi all, just about to start weaning DD at 26 weeks and am confused by all the different types of cups. Which have you found the best for your LO's? Thanks

We found the Anyway Up Cup best in the long term. But she didn't really start drinking from any sort of up until at least 8 months or so.

tommee tippee free flow cups.

I second the tommee tippee first cup with the flip up lid.

we're using the tommee tippee one too.

I'm using a doidy cup, she needs a bit of supervision at the moment but she's almost stopped pouring it all down her front Grin (7 months btw)

doidy cup - my 7 month old can drink fine out of it - my 4 year old who had a tommee tippee still struggles with an open cup.

The new tommee Tippee 'tip it up' cups are brilliant. Ds will only drink from one of these or a doidy after trying tons of different cups/bottles
They have a spout that you bite rather than suck so supposedly more like a cup than a bottle in terms of technique required.

Thanks for all your thought, sounds like the doidy cup and tommee tippee are very popular so maybe I could try the doidy cup for when we are at home and the free flow for out and about.

Whatever you do don't get one of the tommee tippee ones with the built in straw- really fiddly to dismantle for washing, if you don't get the straw in quite right nothing comes out and even when its in correctly they have to suck really hard.

I bought two (they were on offer) and ended up binning them after a couple of days.

Basic free flow cups seem to work best.
