Freezing purees with meat?

Hi, I've just made pureed beef, carrot & potato (which my little girl actually ate!) but I've got loads left over. Can I freeze this like I do with veggie purees?

Thanks in advance, Clare x

Yes, I do that all the time.

Of course as long as the meat was raw then cooked, you can't refreeze something frozen ie buy raw chicken and freeze it. Defrost it roast it and freeze left overs. Defrost and throw into pasta sauce - now you can't freeze!

I think when you defrost it you must heat it until piping hot, so in a microwave or on the hob, then allow to cool. That way any bacteria will be killed off.
