DS is 23 weeks and I'm thinking about starting to wean him in the next few weeks.

He is ebf however and I am unable to express (have tried many times but just can't get much out with either pump or by hand :( ). I would rather not use formula to mix things with eg porridge, sauces etc, nothing against formula as such but I feel that we've come this far without using it so would prefer to continue not to use it.

So, what can I use? My previous DCs have all been on formula by this age so I just used that and I also used cow's milk in cooking but can I use it for mixing things with too? I know it's a no-no for drinking under 12 months.

He will be started on fruit/veg etc at first and hoping to do mainly BLW so I'm thinking ahead really but any ideas?

You can cook with whole milk at 6mo but it must not be their main milk source.
