Did I start too soon??

At 19 wks, after a week of incredibly disturbed sleeping, and DD getting an extra 2 milk feeds a day, I started on the baby rice. This went swimmingly for 5 days - she stopped fussing and was attentive during feeds, opening wide, swallowing most of it and generally enjoying it, her sleep also improved immediately. For the last 3 days she seems to have totally changed her mind - mouth tightly shut, crying, no interest whatsoever and just seeming upset by the idea of baby rice! We have stopped even trying for the moment, and her sleep seems to be fine - back to one feed at around 6am and then back to sleep again - so now what?? Should we leave it for a week, or try every other day? I don't want her to get upset about weaning!

Leave her till nearer six months - much easier for everyone. More pleasant for her (I'd not fancy having baby rice spooned into me, frankly!) - if she's six months old, you can let her take a more active role in feeding herself bits of steamed veg, etc.

Wouldn't bother trying again all that soon - sounds like she's over the growth spurt to me.

what sort of steamed veg would you recommend HM?
