Best books for weaning AT 6 MONTHS!

Every book I look in for advice on how to wean seems to starts from 4 months. I am looking for a book that starts from 6 months so there can be no confusion, and doesn't cover purees but instead soft mushy food as is advised these days (as babies of 6 months no longer need food pureed, apparently). I'd also like it to include advice on how to combine solids with milk feeds as I have received conflicting advice on whether to drop milk feeds when feeding solids.

Does anyone know a brilliant book that does all of the above? Does the new edition of Annabel Karmel do this? Gina Ford's weaning book has also been recommended to me by a mum I met at a weaning workshop ...

Many thanks all!

I had exactly the same problem. Was surprised and annoyed that Gina Ford seemed to be the only one that even considered weaning at 6 months, but honestly, I would have gone mad if I'd tried to follow it... timing breastfeeds, measuring teaspoons of rice, and trying to work out how big an ice cube is!

Recommend Gill Rapley's baby led weaning book here. I got it from my local library, you don't really need your own copy.

Or (whisper) you might find that you can just do what you like and you don't need a book at all.....

Have fun!
