refusing milk once on solids

hi - my 7 month old DS has started refusing his formula milk now that solids are more interesting and far tastier!

He's on 3 meals a day and I'm managing to give him anywhere between 300 and 500ml of milk a day. Is this enough? He has a tiny bit of water with his meals but this is more of a game rather than drinking.

He is chubby and certainly not fading away so should I worry?

Thanks

Mine was the same. I made sure I fed him a smaller evening meal so he would take his 210mls as the evening feed and of course he still took his morning one.

Just make sure you give him other dairy during the day like yogurts and cheese.

Good luck!

Mine was the same but breastfed rather than formula. I just always offered milk on waking and before food and eventually he found his level. He's now 12mo and has two bottles of cows' milk a day, around 12oz, spot on what the hv said

I think once they're on 3 meals they should about 21oz or 620ml per day, but cheese etc can make up some of that. No WAY did my DS have anything like that when he was 7mo!

thanks! I don't think I'll worry then, but just keep offering him his milk and dairy. They certainly like to keep us on our toes!
